Action Hotels Company recently opened its second property in the city, the ibis Sharq - November 2010. By 2012 a further nine, mid-scale properties will come on stream joining Sharq & Salmiya – Kuwait 2008, Muscat – Oman 2009 and Amman – Jordan 2009.

Action Real Estate Company has celebrated the 5th anniversary of its establishment on December 2010.
